Many of mold symptoms and health issues are associated with a respiratory response.  Exposure to mold can cause asthma symptoms, or trigger a flare-up in those that already have asthma.  The symptoms of asthma include coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness. If you have asthma, make sure you are prepared with an inhaler and other supplies in the case of a severe asthma attack.
